Taylor is a native of Columbia, Tennessee and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from Lipscomb University, where he served as a student government senator and president of his social club. In 2011, Taylor received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the College of William & Mary School of Law.
While in law school, Taylor interned with the Alliance Defense Fund, the Rutherford Institute, and the James City County (Virginia) Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office. Taylor was the Managing Editor of Volume 35 of the William & Mary Environmental Law and Policy Review and served as a Graduate Research Fellow with an emphasis in trademark law. He also was commissioned as a Blackstone Fellow by the Alliance Defense Fund and received academic honors in William & Mary’s renowned Legal Skills program for his excellence in research, writing, analysis, and client relations.
Following graduation, Taylor served as an attorney-intern with the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility. He is a member of the Tennessee and Maury County Bar Associations.
Taylor and his wife, Rebekah, reside in Columbia.
